Leading telecoms organisation TalkTalk Business’s commitment to apprenticeships has seen it land a double award success from Intraining during National Apprenticeship Week.
Intraining assessor Paul Bent presented TalkTalk Business with a National Apprenticeship Week Employer award at the company’s Warrington hub on Wednesday, 8th March.
One of the businesses apprentices Ryan Sharkey also picked up a National Apprenticeship Week Learner award.
“I am really proud to be receiving this award on behalf of TalkTalk Business. Our learners have embraced the opportunity to benefit from the courses which will all result in a nationally recognised qualification. We encourage our people to develop at TalkTalk Business, and the fantastic uptake, commitment and engagement from the course are entirely consistent with our culture,” said Jackie Bailey, Business Service Manager for TalkTalk Business
TalkTalk Business has invested a great amount of time into starting up customer service, business administration and team leading qualifications.
“Staff are so committed due to the enthusiasm of Jackie Bailey, they are truly the best employer I have worked with over the last five years. They are motivated, assertive and in control of the employees’ qualifications. And most of all they care,” said Paul Bent.
Learner award winner Ryan is a great example of this progression as with Intraining’s support he is now part of an internal training programme and is keen to gain more qualifications that will enable him to progress within the business.
“Being relatively new to TalkTalk Business, it has been a great opportunity to gain an external qualification as this was not something offered in my previous employment. Receiving this recognition has been great and being new to the business it will be good to get my name out there in such a positive way and hopefully aid me in my future development. The constant open contact and support given by Paul has allowed me to really enjoy completing this qualification,” said Ryan.
“I’m delighted to present TalkTalk Business and Ryan with their awards as both are fantastic examples of the power of apprenticeships when they are valued and supported fully by everyone involved,” added Paul.
