Pharmaceuticals business picks up Intraining award

One of the Midland’s largest pharmaceuticals wholesalers has been acknowledged by Intraining for its commitment to apprenticeships.

Intraining Assessor Sandra Byrne presented CST Pharma with a National Apprenticeship Week Employer award on Friday, 10th March.

“We are delighted that our staff have been recognised by this award. Many staff members have not engaged in qualifications for many years however, by utilising their experience & skills gained within the workplace whilst supported by In-Training, they have achieved great results. The company have benefited with a more confident and focused workforce,” said Daniel O’Connor, Director for CST Pharma.

Over the last two years over 40 of the CST Pharma’s employees have completed apprenticeships including Warehouse, Business Administration, Customer Service, Team Leading and Management qualifications.

The company have also invested in apprenticeship qualifications for employees who do meet SFA requirements or who want to progress to Level 4 to enable all colleagues to develop within the business.

“CST Pharma thoroughly deserve this award for their continued support to the apprenticeship programme and the investment they have made in the development of their staff,” said Sandra Byrne.
