New apprenticeships and skills minister announced

Anne Milton has been named as the new apprenticeships and skills minister replacing Robert Halfon in a shake-up following last week’s general election.

The former nurse and MP for Guildford was previously deputy chief whip in the House of Commons and has also had roles as shadow minister for culture and tourism, shadow minister for health and parliamentary under-secretary for the department of health.

In 2015 she was also appointed to the Privy Council which advises the Queen.
